Can you repair my domestic fridge or freezer?
No we do not specialise in domestic fridge/freezers.
Can you give me a price over the phone or online?
As a refrigeration and air conditioning system has so many components we cannot quote for repairs over the phone or online without coming to see the unit. Please book a diagnosis callout.
How often should i have my refrigeration plant serviced
Larger systems generally need a 6 monthly service while smaller systems need an annual service. Your FGAS compliance is determined by the refrigerant type and charge size so this is also a factor
What can i do to limit breakdowns of my refrigeration plant.
Keep leaves away from the outdoor coil and dust it off regularly.
Do you install equipment provided by the client.
Refrigeration and air conditioning equipment should only be purchased by registered FGAS company's who are trained in its installation and maintenance. In order to protect the environment from the harmful effects of refrigerant ,we therefore will not install any equipment supplied by non FGAS registered clients.
Is there a good option to heat and cool my whole house?
Yes a multi split air conditioner is perfectly suited to provide comfort heating and cooling of your house without losing your gas boiler and taking advantage of an air to air heat pump.
Do air to air heat pumps work well for heating ?
Yes in normal U.K. weather conditions they work well although in snow and fog they may struggle as they defrost more. Low temperatures may also reduce there efficiency generally they good till around -8 degrees Celsius in our opinion then the defrosts may be too frequent.
What are the disadvantages of air to air heat pumps.
They do not provide comfortable radiant heat unless you went for an advanced unit. They also generally provide the convective heat from high up which does n0t warm the floor as well.
When should i think of changing my refrigeration or air conditioning equipment?
With the phasing out of ozone depleting refrigerants and the new highly efficient systems . Our opinion is every ten years as your compressor is likely to be worn by then and you may be using excessive electricity.
